Fundraiser will benefit African birthing centres

Saturday, October 25, the Fondation Sénégal Santé Mobile will host a multicultural, fundraising dinner supporting maternal and infant health services in Senegal, West Africa.

The foundation began its work four years ago, sending medical supplies to the local community health clinic. In 2015, the organization plans to send medication and equipment to rural birthing centres. These centers will provide care for mothers as well as prenatal and postnatal care aimed at reducing the high levels of child mortality and complications due to pregnancy.

Dinner will be accompanied with music and parables in French, English, Wolof, and Yiddish.

The event begins at 6 pm in the Singapore Room at Hotel Ruby Foo’s, 7655 Decarie Blvd. (Namur metro). $50/individual, $80/couple,
$35/student. Info: 514.369.8607 or email at
