Support group dines out
I facilitate a weekly group for individuals whose spouses have Alzheimer’s Disease or a related disorder. This group of courageous people have been meeting together for several years and have formed a very strong bond of friendship and support.
This mixed group of men and women initially dined out monthly with their spouses. As time progressed, this proved to be too much of a challenge. They now dine without spouses a couple of evenings a month, a well deserved social gathering for a group of dedicated caregivers. Our meetings often begin with a restaurant review and plans for future dining spots. With their permission I am writing about their restaurant experiences.
Vizio
This Italian restaurant, conveniently located on Decarie Blvd. corner Queen Mary, is equipped with its own parking. The group gave Vizio high scores for its quality food at reasonabe prices. Meals were described as delicious and the service excellent.
The group was surprised that it was not busier but it was a Tuesday evening.  Some of the members had eaten at Vizio before and were happy to return. All agreed that they would dine there again.
