L’Orchestre de la Francophonie (OF) prepares very talented young musicians selected from around the world for a successful career playing among the most prestigious orchestras, here and abroad.

The OF has three main goals:

  • To learn, by providing the brightest young musicians with diverse tools, both musical and extramusical, we are preparing them for a fulfilling and high-level professional career.
  • To innovate, reinvent the concert format by performing in unusual settings, by using daring new approaches and varying forms, and finally, by combining artistic disciplines that may enrich one another.
  • To share, by stressing the importance of our social commitment, by seeking new partnership, by making high quality recordings, used in CD production and broadcasting, and finally by encouraging open-mindedness and tolerance.

These talented up and coming musicians may be seen on July 17 and 21 at the Outremont Theatre, on July 25 at the Concerts Populaires de Montréal (Centre Pierre Charbonneau) and August 14 at the Maison Symphonique.
