Museum of Jewish Montreal is collecting oral histories

The Museum of Jewish Montreal has launched its Stories Project, a crowd-sourced oral history initiative to share stories about Montreal’s Jewish past and present. The public can share personal histories on the Museum’s easy-to-use website and help build an archive of Jewish stories in Montreal. Anyone can submit a story in three easy steps: record audio, add photos and press share.

The Stories Project comes at a critical time for the city’s Jewish community when there are only a few years left to preserve certain narratives that will otherwise be lost. This new platform offers the public the rare opportunity to share and learn about these lesser-known stories.
