Lakeshore Players Dorval is proud to present the second show in its 51st season of community theatre. Boeing Boeing, by Marc Camoletti (translated by Beverley Cross and Francis Evans), will be presented at the Louise Chalmers Theatre at John Rennie High School from February 4 to 13, 2016.
It’s the 1960s and Bernard, an American architect living in Paris, is happily engaged – to 3 different women. They are all air hostesses from different airlines: Gloria from TWA, Gabriella from Alitalia, and Gretchen from Lufthansa. When Bernard’s friend, Robert, visits for a weekend he is stunned at how the women’s schedules are perfectly timed so that they never cross paths. But the new and speedier Boeing jet throws everything up in the air!
With the arrival of all three women in Paris at the same time, this hilarious complication sends Bernard and Robert for a tailspin. Fasten your seatbelts and come see why this fun farce won the 2008 Tony Award for Best Revival.
The cast in alphabetical order is: Melanie Desjardins (Gloria), Jeremy Glenn (Bernard), Theresa Knowles (Gretchen), Lia Ludbrook (Gabriella), Sylvia Mauri (Berthe), and Sterling Mawhinney (Robert).
The creative team behind the production is led by Steve Gillam (Director/Set Design) and includes Linda Sheshko (Stage Manager), Seamus Ryan (Lighting Design), Eric Sauvé (Sound Design), and Karen Pearce (Costumes).
