Though one in five Canadians will experience some form of mental illness in their lifetime, it is still seen by many as taboo.

Jaswant Guzder, the internationally renowned head of child psychiatry at the Jewish General Hospital, visualizes child and family dynamics in figurative and abstract paintings she has created over the years.

Her work is on display at Victoria Hall, 4626 Sherbrooke W., until December 14. It is open daily till 9 pm, Saturday till 5 pm, closed Sunday. Free admission.
