After 20 years of professional theatre, opera and everything in between, Hudson Village Theatre artistic director Heather Markgraf has come full circle.

Markgraf is back at the helm after eight years, just in time for the 20th anniversary celebration. She rejoins the company with a new board that will be tested immediately, as an anonymous donor has promised to donate $50,000 if the company can match that amount by June 30.

The summer season kicks off with Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, a play by Richard Alfieri that tells the story of a couple’s developing relationship, fostered by their love of dance. June 6-July 13.

The next show, Back in ’59 by Thom Currie, starts three days later. It’s an upbeat musical about a group of friends reminiscing at their high school reunion. July 11-22.

Another ode to the times past, In the Mood—A Time to Remember, celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Hudson Music Club, as performers revisit 1940s wartime tunes. July 25-29.

Ned Durango Comes to Big Oak, by Norm Foster, closes the summer season. It tells the story of a small Canadian town where a restaurant comes up with an idea that will change the lives of its residents and put their town on the map forever.
