A Summer with Vivaldi and the most beautiful film music in candlelight, with the ensemble Ambitus.

If you haven’t yet lived the experience of a concert of music lit by the glow of candles, here is your chance!  Imagine coming to listen to Vivaldi’s “The Seasons: Spring and Summer” as well as the most beautiful cinematographic melodies played with exceptional sonorities in the magical environment of a church lit only by candles.  You will no longer know whether you are dreaming or whether you are still awake!

It is in soft lighting and thus in an ambiance that is most calm, elegant and  suitable for listening that the musicians of the ensemble “AMBITUS” will perform for you that evening, with no other intention but to let you experience a charming, elegant, ravishing and marvellous musical evening!

That evening, marvellous and infinitely beneficial music will arise and will invade that beautiful church with a glow suffused with indescribable beauty and serenity, an evening that will above all be disguished by the melodious resonance of music as noble as it is moving – in brief, a special concert that will be more than simple entertainment, but rather a moment of eternity for the soul!

As the curtain rises, it is Rossini, a master of melody, with his famous William Tell Overture, who will fulfill your expectations.   Then, the first medley – Four Tangos – which are among the most famous, will be played, followed immediately by three extracts from the orchestral suite from Georges Bizet’s opera “Carmen”.   The first part will end with a grand medley of the most beautiful music from films, most of which won Oscars: Love Story, The Godfather, Il était une fois dans l’Ouest, Titanic, Romeo and Juliette, Schindler’s List and several others.

You will also hear the four most beautiful songs of the great Édith Piaf and four songs of Charles Aznavour interpreted as you have never heard them!

We will end on a most joyous note with Brahms’ two most beautiful Hungarian Dances, a veritable little masterpiece!
