The heart is a symbol of love, warmth and caring and was chosen as the focus of the Generations Foundation logo, which you can see on the cover of The Senior Times. The hands, one larger, one smaller, denote “reaching out to help.”

Would you like to help and have a special evening out? Bring your honeybunch, your dumpling, your pumpkin pie, the apple of your eye and your mammas and papas down to our second annual St. Valentine Gala on Saturday, February 16.

Cocktails at 5 pm will be followed by a sit-down dinner and dancing. Also on the menu: the music of the Grand Show Band with Christina and Johnny Capobianco. Comedian Joe Cacchione will crack you up.

Surprise entertainers will delight and a late night feast will please every palate. There will be a silent auction, open bar and gifts for all.

Funds raised benefit Generations Foundation food programs in 90 schools and learning centres and help send hundreds of children to summer camp.

St. Valentine Gala: Renaissance Centre des Congrès et Banquets, 7550 Henri Bourassa E. Call 514-998-7702, generationsfoundation.com.
