Adopt Tommy
Tommy is the perfect family dog. He's a year old mix breed who's great with cats and dogs.
Tommy was dropped off at the SPCA Montérégie for no fault of his own and he's now in foster care. If you’d like to adopt this adorable dog, contact the Foster Home Coordinator, Debra at: (514) 969-1767. If you’d like to find out about other dogs or cats at the shelter, call: (450) 460-3075.
Creating furry friendships
There are countless cats in the streets with no place to call home, but a feline rescue group called Cause 4 Paws is trying to help.
“We want to create liasions between senior citizens that are experiencing isolation and homeless cats, ” said Ursula Lord, the group’s founder. “All of the cats are in excellent health and the veterinary record is included.”
All the cats have been sterilized, vaccinated and treated for any parasites.
“We are against de-clawing cats but we usually have some if that is requested,” Lord said. The fee is $135, refundable if the arrangement doesn’t work out and an exchange isn’t possible. Adoption days are June 16 & 30, 12 - 4pm at Multi Menu, 9760 Gouin W. Info: (514) 684-4810.
