Documentary Fortunate Shipwreck screens April 13

Today’s debate on the place of religion and the wearing of clothing that has religious significance continues, even as the Liberal government considers a new version of the failed Quebec Values legislation introduced by the Parti Québécois government.

The relationship of religion and society in Quebec is examined in the documentary L’Heureux Neufrage/Fortunate Shipwreck, which is being shown April 13, 6:30 pm at St. Columba House, 2365 Grand Trunk, in Pointe St. Charles. $5. Special guest is Prof. Norman Cornett, religious studies scholar. 514-932-6202, ext. 224.
