September 25, the Women’s Y honoured 10 individuals at the annual Women of Distinction Gala, now in its 14th year.
The event, held at the Bonaventure Hilton and attended by 1,000 people, publicly recognizes women who have distinguished themselves in diverse domains. It is also an important fund-raiser. This year it garnered $245,000, to be distributed among the various programs and services the Women ’s Y provides and to help maintain its economic, social and community mission.
