Dance party to celebrate endangered Meadowbrook Park

Rebecca Million

For the past 25 years, a group of dedicated nature lovers have been working to protect Meadowbrook Park’s 57 hectares of green space, trees, wetlands, and the animals and birds that live there.

Everyone is invited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Les Amis du Parc Meadowbrook at a Rock VS. Disco Dance Party October 17 at 7:30 pm at Royal West Academy in Montreal West.

So far, Les Amis du Parc Meadowbrook have managed to protect Meadowbrook from development, but there is still much work to be done. A developer owns the land and plans to turn it into a high density housing project. As the name of the group implies, they are working to turn this beautiful green space into an urban heritage nature park for everyone to enjoy year-round.

Join in celebrating 25 years of protecting Meadowbrook. Tickets cost $25 and can be ordered at brownerica.sara@gmail.com.
